VII World Bamboo Congress

planned 18-23 February 2002, Dehra Dun, India

Important Congress Announcement

It is with deep regret that we must postpone the 7th World Bamboo Congress
scheduled for 18-23 February 2002 in Dehra Dun, India. The current world
crisis and military actions have made travel more difficult and people
afraid, and therefore feel it is necessary to postpone the event until later
in 2002, possibly November. We will indeed have the 7th World Bamboo
Congress in India as soon as the world conditions improve. Please be
patient with us in this uneasy time.

A revised schedule of deadlines will be announced and the process carried
forward including registrations from January 2002.
